In plain language: use Task Harbor for lawful work, keep your account secure, pay for your plan, and you can leave anytime. We keep the service running and your data yours. Neither side gets to be unreasonable.
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Task Harbor, Inc. ("Task Harbor," "we," "us") covering your access to and use of the Task Harbor Signal Operating System, including the marketing site, checkout, and the application at app.taskharbor.ai (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, completing checkout, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company.
2. Your account and roles
The person who creates and pays for an account is the Captain (account owner) and is responsible for the account, its billing, and the conduct of everyone invited into the workspace. You may invite others into roles defined by your plan: Deckhand (doer), Bosun (manager), and Lookout (read-only stakeholder). You are responsible for keeping login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at security@taskharbor.ai if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Plans, seats, and trials
The Service is offered on the plans described at checkout (currently Single-hander, Crew, Fleet, and Enterprise). Each plan includes a defined number of workspace seats and roles. Some plans allow additional seats for a per-seat fee shown before purchase. Read-only Lookout seats included with a plan are free. Paid plans begin with a 14-day free trial unless stated otherwise; we do not charge you during the trial, and you can cancel before it ends without paying anything.
4. Billing and renewal
After any trial, your plan renews automatically each billing period (monthly or annual, as selected) until you cancel. By providing a payment method you authorize us and our payment processor to charge the then-current fees, plus applicable taxes, on each renewal. Annual plans are billed once for the year. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated; downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period. You can change or cancel your plan anytime from your account settings. Cancellation stops future charges; it does not, on its own, refund a charge already made (see the Refund Policy below).
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you will not:
- use it for anything unlawful, infringing, or harmful, or to store content you have no right to store;
- attempt to breach security, probe, or disrupt the Service or other accounts;
- resell, sublicense, or scrape the Service, or reverse engineer it except where the law forbids that restriction;
- upload malicious code or use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages.
We may suspend or limit access if use threatens the Service, other customers, or the law, and we will act proportionately and tell you why where we can.
6. Your content and our IP
You keep ownership of the content, tasks, and Signals you put into the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. We and our licensors own the Service itself, including software, design, the Signal Operating System category language, the ANCHOR framework, the Skipper, and the Task Harbor marks. These Terms grant you no rights in our brand or technology beyond using the Service as intended.
7. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it reliable but do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Changes, termination, and governing law
We may update these Terms; if a change is material we will give reasonable notice by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continued use after a change means you accept it. Either party may end this agreement: you by canceling, us with notice if you materially breach these Terms. On termination you may export Your Content for 30 days, after which we may delete it. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
